About the Novel

Lorraine Dugmore lives in a dysfunctional alcoholic family, and when she meets and then falls in love with Parker Bridges, the most popular and desirable boy in High School, it only seems natural that the two would marry. But the marriage does not provide a fairy tale ending for Lorraine, as she soon learns how blinded she had been to Parker’s own drinking problem and how difficult marriage can be. A renewed friendship restores Lorraine’s hope for happiness through a revived relationship with God, while new affections for Cliff Walker, a devout believer with all the qualities Parker lacks, tests her faith.
